The eCommerce Merchandising Manager is managed directly by the Executive Director of Communications. The eCommerce Merchandising Manager plays an important role in identifying and driving strategic product growth initiatives for the company. This position requires pop culture expertise and enthusiasm, knowledge of current market trends, strong leadership skills, management experience, and the ability to execute tactical plans across departments. This is an exempt position.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify market trends and product needs based on analytics, client feedback, competitive analysis, and best practices.

• Conduct thorough and regular consumer and competitive research to provide insight into consumers, competitors, markets, trends, pricing, and upcoming properties/licenses.

• Provide meaningful recommendations of new revenue channels from current partners as well as possible vertical markets.

• Manage merchandise buying team by driving initiatives, setting goals, providing training, and conducting performance reviews.

• Lead product presentation to ensure the categorization, imagery, copy, specs, and pricing are accurate on company websites.

• Partner with the Marketing Department to determine best products, licenses, launches, and collections on which to focus campaigns.

• Collaborate with the content team on vendor and product content planning as well as general product marketing.

• Improve inventory turnover ratio and achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly stock targets.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in leading merchandising strategy.

• Identify new product trends and future revenue channels.

• Manage merchandise buying team.

• Be the critical bridge linking merchandising to other departments.

• Improve inventory turns.

• Additional duties/tasks assigned by management.

Competencies:

• Ability to take initiative, function independently, and solve problems.

• Highly driven with a can-do attitude.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Solid management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelors' degree or higher in Business Administration or related field.

• 3-5+ years online merchandising and/or eCommerce experience within a multichannel environment.
