Kelly Services is looking for an Extrusion Operator for 3rd shift in Carpinteria.
Shift: Sunday - Thursday 9:00pm- 5:30am
Summary: Machine Operator will operate equipment, manufacture, assemble and package product within set standards and specifications from various processes in areas such as extrusion and milling material. Follow Cell Lead directions verbally and written for daily assigned tasks while following all standard operating procedures and all other documents required such as shop orders.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
Produce/package/label all products to meet or exceed all quality specifications per shop order
Operates various manufacturing and measurement equipment in a safe and orderly manner and notifies Cell Lead when operating problems occur or standards cannot be met.
Meet or exceed all due dates assigned to the manufacturing shop order.
Responsible for all products manufactured.
Understanding of documentation system including reading comprehension, writing and how to complete documents accurately.
May assist engineering or manufacturing technicians with validation of processes, product and tooling.
Understand and follow gowning processes and procedures while maintaining a clean and presentable work station.
Required Experience:
Level I- At least 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment which may include specialties such as extrusion and milling material.
Required Knowledge:
Understanding of manufacturing work environment, quality standards and use of hand tools
Knowledge of material handling and proper use including labeling
Must be able to read and write and understand the English language
Prefer knowledge of microscope functionality
Advanced mathematics and measuring skills with an understanding of dimensions
Required Skills/Abilities:
Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment
Accurate and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
Physical Requirements:
Involves sitting, standing, walking and/or lifting, with frequent ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force to move objects and occasionally exert up to 40 pounds of force to move objects.
