Seneca's Ventura County Crisis Program provides dignified mental health treatment for youth in psychiatric crisis. This groundbreaking program provides a new facet to the continuum of care for youth in Ventura County. We provide crisis stabilization to youth in less than 24 hours and also provide a short term residential program for youth needing further stabilization. Our collaborative decision-making process enables each individual youth and family to have mental health care experience that is strength-based and focuses on sustainable resources for continued care. TheÂClinical SupervisorÂis responsible for assisting the Program Director in the development and implementation of the program's goals. TheÂClinical SupervisorÂprovides individual and group supervision to Master's level staff in relation to their clinical case management and assists them in professional growth. TheÂClinical SupervisorÂreviews and approves clinical documentation and assists in the development of appropriate clinical treatment goals and interventions for the clients in the program.

Responsibilities:

Meet individually with each clinician and intern weekly to provide clinical consultation, oversight and training.

Provide considerate and direct feedback to supervisees regarding job performance on a regular basis.

Provide leadership for staff in creating a positive work environment that adheres to the values of the agency.

Observe clinicians in triage and aftercare meetings with caregivers to further develop their skills.

Through example and consultation, guide staff to develop creative interventions for youth, which promote Seneca's mission of unconditional care.

Coordinate consultation to therapists and direct service staff, including psychiatric, family and individual treatment and behavior modification needs.

Coordinate/communicate with the Seneca psychiatrist and provide support and resources to him/her as needed for the care of the clients in the program.

Participate in management team meetings

Qualifications:

LCSW required

Must be licensed for at least 2 years and able to provide supervision according to regulations of BBS.

Experience working in the mental health field with children and their families, a plus!

Familiarity with behavior modification and crisis intervention techniques.

Knowledge and experience in individual and family therapy methods.

Valid California driver's license, a clean record, and insurable through Seneca's automobile policy.

Clearance of TB test, fingerprints, and any other mandatory State/Federal licensing or certification requirements.
