The Database & Donations Coordinator assists in the record keeping, acknowledgement, and stewardship of all monetary donations to the organization and acts as the primary administrator of the CRM database (Salesforce) for Resource Development. This position also assists in the coordination and implementation of all fundraising efforts and will engage donors to support Many Mansions mission and programs.

III. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The duties of the position of Database & Donations Coordinator include, but are not limited to, the following:

No. Essential Duty or Responsibility

1 Acts as the primary database administrator of Salesforce CRM. Maintains monetary donation records, history of current donors, and other pertinent information.

2 Leads daily operations and maintenance activities in Salesforce, including developing new functionality, keeping up with new Salesforce features and versions, creating efficient workflows, maintaining permission sets and security roles, and ensuring that the data in Salesforce is continually being cleaned or updated.

3 Trains new and existing users on how to use the system and troubleshoots issues.

4 Coordinates and implements all facets of the organizations general donation strategy, including one-on-one donor solicitation, written appeals, special fundraising activities, and donor follow-up.

5 Ensures all donors receive proper acknowledgement and recognition for their contributions, including events and other appreciation activities;

6 Prepares reports as requested, including, fund development committee data, year-end donor statements and strategic reports and assists other staff in running reports in Salesforce as needed. This includes developing and customizing reports and dashboards in Salesforce.

7 Assists with community outreach and fundraising activities in all communities Many Mansions has or desires a presence in, including presentations, chambers of commerce, tours, Bowl Painting Parties, Many Mansions 40 Year Anniversary activities, etc.

8 Assists, where directed, in all fundraising activities for the Division.

9 Other duties as assigned.

Communication Possesses excellent communications skills, including but not limited to, the ability”

To speak and write clearly, meaningfully, and persuasively;

To speak, listen, and respond effectively with and among staff, agencies, residents, donors, lenders, investors, partners, and community members; and

To give presentations and speak effectively before groups and organizations.

Computer Skills Has proficiency in computer and computer applications, including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) programs, and social media.

Must be proficient in Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack.

Driving Driving is required for this position.

Therefore, the staff member must have the legal ability to drive a motor vehicle in California, proof of a valid California drivers license, and adequate motor vehicle insurance.

Education, Experience, & Certifications Has education and experience in nonprofit, donor relations, and community relations. Preferred education and experience may include any combination equivalent to the following “

Bachelors degree or higher from a four-year college or university;

One years work experience in a nonprofit fundraising environment and such areas as donor or community relations, sales, marketing, or other related experience; and

One years experience managing a donor database.

Leadership & Other Skills Has a demonstrated ability to work well with others and provide leadership. Must be self-motivated, creative, and have ability to set priorities independently. Must be able to adhere to all company policies and procedures, in addition to all State, federal and local laws and regulations.

Mathematical & Reasoning Skills Possesses excellent mathematical and reasoning skills. This includes, but is not limited to, the ability to perform basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, decimals, etc.), the ability to resolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited information exists, and the ability to interpret data and/or instructions.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the staff member is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and/or controls, talk and hear. The staff member is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach using feet, legs, back, arms and hands. The staff member must be able to lift and/or move up to 20-40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment The work environment may have frequent interruptions, time constraints, and emotional demands. Noise level is low to moderate. The corporate culture is friendly and goal oriented.
