Senior Research Associate Position Available
Celavie Biosciences and Celavet Inc. are seeking a Senior Research Associate to participate in routine laboratory tasks and experiments involved in neurodegenerative disease treatments.
Responsibilities will include:
Stem cell culture and processing with aseptic technique
Histological staining
Immunohistochemical analysis of stem cells and tissues
ELISAs
qPCR assays
Flow cytometry
Microscopy
Cryosectioning
Assistance with animal handling, surgeries, and behavioral testing
Maintaining laboratory notebooks and inventory logs
Basic laboratory maintenance duties - mixing reagents, cleaning glassware, aliquoting antibodies
Data entry and statistical analysis
In depth literature searches and creating electronic archives
Scientific writing
GMP documentation
Education, experience, and skill requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Biology or related discipline. Masters of Science in Biology, Bioengineering, or related field is preferred
3 - 5 years of professional experience is required
Experience in cell culture and designing qPCR assays is required
Experience in animal handling, histology, ELISA, Flow Cytometry and molecular techniques is preferred
Proficient data management, analysis, and scientific writing
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be able to work in a small team environment
Must have good oral and written communication skills
Must be able to work full time and flexible hours with occasional weekend and holiday rotations
A basic understanding of regulatory/compliance issues related to product quality, manufacturing, and cell processing facilities, a plus
