Oak Park Unified School District is seeking candidates for a Full Time (40 hours/week) Computer Support Technician position which comes with full comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, and vision) and enrollment in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS).
OVERVIEW
Oak Park USD is a high performing public school district located near to Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village in the town of Oak Park. We are seeking to add to our customer support team and are looking for candidates who are personable, proactive communicators, detail-oriented, and enjoy working with technology while providing customer service.
Primary duties include interfacing with teachers, staff, students, and parents to provide technical support and troubleshooting issues with the client’s district managed device. Additionally, computer support technicians will be configuring, installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of computing devices and peripherals (with an emphasis on Macintosh computers, Chromebooks, and iPads). Some work will be performed at the district’s central office, some will be performed at school sites, and some may be performed remotely through virtual means. Technicians will also be working to maintain databases, user accounts, and providing training to end-users as needed.
EXAMPLES OF TASKS
Man a customer service help desk and provide technical support to students and staff for various systems including Chromebooks, Mac Laptops, iPads, PC's, interactive whiteboards, and associated peripherals.
Triage high volumes of help desk tickets and thoroughly document all work through a help desk job ticketing system.
Move, unbox, inventory, setup, and configuration of computer equipment and peripherals
Repair broken or malfunctioning hardware, and/or software applications
Proactively communicate with team members to ensure all work orders are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
Work with various databases and systems to manage user accounts; document devices distributed and collected for inventory control.
Travel to various school sites to provide tech support (must have own transportation and valid CA Drivers License)
