We are looking for an experienced mechanic/fabricator, but not just any mechanic. We are a fabrication and custom car/4x4 shop so I need someone who can do high quality custom work. You will probably never change the oil in a car and you will very rarely swap in a simple replacement part.
The perfect candidate would be a very capable fabricator/welder than can also handle the mechanical side and does not mind doing it. That being said I would also be very interested in someone who is really good with the mechanical work and is capable of, and interested in learning or improving their fabrication/welding skills.
What you will be doing is:
suspension work like lift kits and axle swaps
custom brake work
wiring, everything from a set of lights to a complete rewire, plus some occasional electrical diagnosis
custom plumbing of brake, fuel, and other fluid systems
motor conversions
transmission/transfer case conversions
custom steering systems
fabrication/welding work depending on skill level
bonus points if you know how to properly set up axle gears.
I need someone who can consistently turn out high quality work, has a brain between their ears, has very high attention to detail, is hard working, and is always looking to learn and improve their skillset. You don't have to be able to do everything on my list but you need to be experienced in, and able to do quite a few of them, and you must have the desire and smarts to learn the rest. I don't mind teaching or refining skills but I am not looking for a shop helper or someone who is totally green.
