Denham Resources has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Staff Accountant to join the team of our client, a highly successful, well established, family-owned agri-business.
-Prepare, examine or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
-Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts
-Journal entries, account reconciliations and assist with month end close
-Update and produce various accounting reports as required
-Reviews standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
-Inventory reconciliation, financial and variance analysis
-Records yields into the system
- Assist with cost accounting system and cost ledger
REQUIREMENTS
-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
-Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accounting or finance experience in agriculture or food processing industry is a plus
-Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and proficient with MS Office Suite required
-Excellent analytical skills, detail oriented and strong work ethic
-Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to multi-task
