Essential Functions
- Assemble and supervise your team
- Oversee the functions of your team including supervisors and safety leader
- Ensure annual safety training is done correctly
- Handle administrative aspects of work time, vacation time, etc
- Create all production orders
- Create all work, production, processing, and fumigation schedules
- Oversee inventories, (seed storage, production, and processing materials)
- Work closely with lab personal to ensure all seed aspects up to and including shipping
- Meet quality and delivery goals
- Communicate and meet the needs of other associated managers (Ranch, Agronomists and others)
- Many other duties communicating with outside and internal stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited university, 5+ years in business or seed sales, related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must maintain a current valid California Driver’s License
- Must have or obtain a Qualified Applicator License (QAL)
- Supervisory responsibility
- Must be literate and fluent in English, written and verbal
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Spanish speaking is a plus
