DescriptionAccountemps has an excellent opportunity for an entry-level Accountant. You will be responsible for entering data, reviewing financial statements, and creating and manipulating Excel spreadsheets. You will report to the Accounting Manager, work with a dynamic team, and enjoy the opportunity for career growth. Based in Visalia, California, this entry-level Accountant job is a long-term temporary-to-full-time opportunity.What you get to do every single day
Helping with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
Investigating and fixing account discrepancies
Put together monthly journal entries
Log data
Helping with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Carrying out other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned
Ensuring that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct
Requirements
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Applicants with an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business are recommended for this position
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Journal entries experience preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Proficiency in general ledger
Famous experience highly desired
Required: 5+ years of accounting experience
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
High-level understanding of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred
Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
