Denham Resources has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager who will be responsible for the designated facility's Food Safety and QA compliance for our client, a well-established, highly successful, and world class dairy food processing company.
-Oversee and ensure Quality Management System is in compliance with all Federal and State agencies and in accordance with applicable regulations and standards
-Provide leadership to Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs
-Oversee the overall quality and safety of food products and conduct annual HACCP, GMP, SQF and Food Defense assessments
-Leverage continuous improvement tools and industry best practices to improve quality systems and develop systems and processes that increase and improve operational efficiency
-Lead internal and external audit teams during audits of facility; act as the facility SQF Practitioner
-Represent the company in regular and frequent contacts with representatives of the regulatory agencies such as USDA and FDA
-Interact effectively at all levels within the organization and effectively communicate food safety and ingredient/product quality concerns to senior management
-Transform data into meaningful information and define activities that will drive improvement
-Develop procedures, standards and operational objectives guidelines for the Quality department
Requirements:
-Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology, or related field
-SQF Practitioner Certification
-5-7 years demonstrated successful leadership experience in food production industry, Quality & Food Safety, HAACP, GMP's, SOP's, Audits; 3-5 years of dairy experience a must have
-Knowledgeable about all food safety standards that are customary within the food industry and mandated by government regulations
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
-Proven leadership and management experience
-Excellent communication skills verbal and written
