Lead Forklift Operator

Job Description
Cary's Honey Farms, Inc. is a family owned and operated organization which specializes in honey production.
The Lead Forklift Operator position will be in a leadership role which will directly support the warehouse supervisor with daily functions and employee guidance. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, hardworking individual in a fast paced manufacturing environment who can lead and motivate others and uphold quality and safety standards.
Job Requirements
⢠Assist and support supervisor in coordinating and monitoring tasks and daily activities
⢠Responsible for moving materials within the warehouse and place product in correct locations.
⢠Loading, unloading, storing, retrieval and order fulfillment using forklift or manual lifting if needed
⢠Double check all products being stored and shipped out for accuracy
⢠Complete a daily maintenance/check sheet for the forklift
⢠Maintain the cleanliness of forklift
⢠Leading shift operations during times of supervisors absence
⢠May perform duties of absent workers to maintain production schedules
⢠Strong communication and organizational skills
⢠Assist workers in resolving problems and report any unresolved problems to supervisor
⢠Must be hardworking, consistent, and have a high attention to detail
⢠Expectation to manage time and stay busy throughout shift
⢠Maintain and promote safe work practices at all times by always operating forklift safely and responsibly
⢠Expected to follow personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements at all times
⢠Constantly be vigilant and aware of your surroundings to keep yourself and your co-workers safe
⢠Cleaning and sweeping warehouse as needed
⢠Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as needed
⢠Continually meet internal and external expectations through teamwork, respect, willingness and the support of others
⢠Take initiative to continually improve work processes and performance by generating new ideas for warehouse efficiency
⢠Demonstrate excellent job performance by productivity, quality, service, safety and attendance
⢠90-Probabtion Period
Work Environment
⢠Fast paced environment with industrial machinery and vehicles
⢠Noise level varies and at times can be loud
⢠Varying temperatures based on weather conditions
⢠Depending honey production there may or may not be bee's in the facility (less during winter months).
⢠Benefits offered after a year of employment
Qualifications
⢠Minimum 6months sit-down forklift experience
⢠Class C Driver License
⢠Leadership experience a plus
⢠Bilingual a plus
⢠High School diploma or GED
⢠Frequently lift up to Lift 50 Pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot and stand for long periods of time.
⢠Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
