Embedded Systems Software Engineer Direct Hire Salary is DOE; target is 120-130k + 5% Bonus Vista, CA 92081; currently in office 3 days a week Required Skills/Experience:
C Development
Embedded Linux

Python or other scripting languages
Experience with designing verification and validation test protocols
BSCE, BSEE, BSCS, or similar
Desired Skills/Experience:
Hardware and software interfacing experience including camera, motion control devices and control of automated electromechanical systems comprising of various sensors and motors
Experience supporting field and manufacturing operations for medical devices
Familiar with control theory and motion control systems
Camera interfacing (Camera Link, GigE) and exposure to image processing
Communication protocols: TCP/IP, serial, CANOpen
Algorithm Development including: Image Compression, image analysis, auto focusing
Control of a high precision, multi-axis machine
Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, Matlab
Microcontroller programming, embedded processor
Creating and executing SQA and Systems test cases and test plans
Cybersecurity on devices
Experience in a regulated development environment (medical devices, ISO 9001)
Responsibilities:
Independently identify and diagnose sophisticated systems problems including debugging hardware, software, and firmware.
Implement Systems Software solutions for existing and new scanner products following standard procedures for software development and change orders
Participate in the entire product development life cycle. From requirements gathering to implementation, testing, and participating in the transfer of knowledge between engineering and Manufacturing/Operation Teams
Provide second level customer and manufacturing support as needed
Software and Algorithm development based on systems requirements and architecture
Set up and maintain production build and installer software
Create all required design controls to support product development as a medical device manufacturer
