GIS Technical Specialist to support our client located in Walnut Creek, CA
Location: Walnut Creek, CA (Remote during Covid) Duration: 6 months (likely extensions up to 2 years) Project Overview “Client’s” IT is a unified organization composed of various departments which collaborate effectively in order to plan, deliver and operate high quality technology solutions. The Business Technology - GIS Center of Excellence (GIS COE) department has responsibility for maintaining and operating IT applications in GIS to support lines of business, as well as delivery of IT projects and solutions in support of their business goals and priorities Experience required: • GIS Tech Specialist: 5-8 years’ experience • Experience in customer support • Years of development experience pertains to the following technology sets: • ESRI ArcGIS, including the following specific components: (required) o ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online Environment · build web map / web app · hosting data · group management o Python Scripting: (required) · Python 2.6+ · Experience with ArcPy and developing Geoprocessing tools / scripts o Database: (required) · Oracle · Postgres / Aurora
