Responsible for performing and assisting, under the supervision of an RN or Physician, patient care procedures and clerical tasks within the scope of practice. Assists patient with personal care related to hygiene, grooming, nutrition, elimination, activity and comfort. Checks equipment, maintains supply levels, maintains/organizes utility rooms and checks emergency carts, restocking them if needed. Transports patients for admissions, procedures or discharge. Accurately performs 12-lead EKG. Demonstrates positive attitude at all times. Applies strong verbal and non-verbal skills to achieve service goals of customer satisfaction and positive work environment. Other functions as assigned to assist in the effective and efficient operation of the emergency department.Position Requirements:
Licensure/ Certification/Registration:
BCLS
LA City Fire Card
EMT certificate and EKG certificate, or Paramedic License required.
