What You Will Be Doing
We are a looking for a sharp, highly technical new senior team member to come grow with us!
In this role, you will:
- Work with a cross-functional team to design, build and deploy backend services (AWS Lambda functions in Node.js)
- Build, ship and iterate on our innovative mobile app (Android/iOS app developed with React Native)
-Deliver high-quality solutions that can keep up with a rapidly evolving product in a timely fashion, and excels in usability, scalability, performance, and security
- Provide technical leadership in architecture, design and coding
- Write structured, tested, readable, and maintainable code
- Actively participate in the agile software development process to ensure timely and successful delivery of valued features to users
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure application quality
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience building commercial software backend services in Node.js
- Hands-on experience developing server-less backend services in cloud infrastructure
- Has shipped Android/iOS apps developed with React Native
- Demonstrated knowledge of how to properly architect backend services and mobile application that are secure, high performing, and scalable
- Strong background with database technologies (Postgresql, DynamoDb, SQL)
- Hand-on experience with mobile developer tooling (XCode, Android Studio, Simulators etc.), REST APIs
