JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for delivery of chemical dependency treatment services to clients under direction of supervisor.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide intake & orientation to the clients
Assess level of severity of chemical use
Provide initial & ongoing assessments to assist in treatment planning
Conduct Addiction Severity Index (ASI) interviews
Develop treatment plans utilizing a client-centered treatment approach
Facilitate process groups and education sessions
Provide documentation of services in an accurate and legible manner
Following all pertaining regulations
Provide crisis intervention as needed
Attend staffing sessions to ensure client welfare and delivery of comprehensive services
Make referrals for services outside the scope of practice of chemical dependency counseling
Maintain effective working relationships with referral sources
Make court appearances as required
Attend staff meetings
Perform civic duties, public and other agency education as requested by director
Perform all duties in a professional and timely manner
Represent Pathways in an ethical and professional manner
QUALIFICATIONS:
State Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor
Or registered with a State Certified Alcohol and Drug Counseling program while pursuing education
One year experience in a treatment setting
Clean and sober minimum 1 year
WORK EXPERIENCE: Experience in residential treatment, outpatient treatment, and day treatment desired
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE OR SKILLS: Understanding of codependency and family dynamics, understanding of EAP, employer referral, and third party payer systems helpful, knowledge of cultural and gender issues as they pertain to recovery
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Flexible, adaptable, self-starter, common sense, and possesses a willingness to learn.
