Job Description for General Laborer:
The General Labor is an entry-level position that only requires hard workers. The General laborer pulls recyclable items (cardboard, aluminum, etc.) out of household garbage that passes by on a conveyor belt (this includes kitchen and bathroom garbage) at a fast pace. Keep in mind that anything someone throws away in their household garbage could and will come down the line (use your imagination). You will, of course, be given proper equipment, but it is still very, very dirty and so only looking for serious candidates that can handle this type of environment. Also, be prepared to stand on your feet all day and please have reliable transportation.
There is also a general labor position that deals with construction and demolition debris, which requires some heavy lifting.
Finally, the swing shift position is cleaning the recycle line machines after they have run for that day. This is a very dirty job and requires a strong stomach. All positions are open and only serious applicants, please.
Steel toe boots are a requirement before hiring. These positions are permanent positions with a 90 days probationary period. There will be several groups starting each week for the next couple of weeks so please come into our office as soon as possible to fill out the application. Feel free to call for more information.
