Dispatcher
Communicate and be liaison to customers/shippers and drivers/carriers.
Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information.
Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
Receive and dispatch orders for pickups or deliveries
Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
Use email, phone or computer to dispatch carriers to appropriate locations
Track, trace and provide timely updates stakeholders, both internally and externally
Monitor the route and in transit status to coordinate and prioritize their scheduled appointments
Provide carriers with information about purchase orders, traffic, obstacles and load requirements.
Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
