Growing Yuba City Based trucking company needs a Transportation Dispatcher with great negotiating, sales, and multi-tasking skills. This is a position which requires experience in booking loads, dispatching for multiple fleet vehicles and must have EXCELLENT negotiating skills.
You must be comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment, and have experience with boards such as DAT Board, Internet Truck stop, etc. Experience with computers, fast typing skills, and great communication skills are also needed.
Experience in requesting Revised Rate Confirmations for Lumpers, Layovers, and Detentions is preferred, but not required.
Position Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of transportation experience (Highly Preferred)
Possess strong communication and negotiation skills and be able to work under pressure
Negotiate Rates to Customers and Brokers and lock in the best rates to maximize profit
Basic computer proficiency, i.e. load boards, email, transportation programs
Ability to work Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
Being on time, prompt, and prepared on a daily basis
Excellent multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills
Bringing new accounts and existing accounts in is a plus
