Job Description

Summary
Oversee Human Resources function for The Little Nell, Residences at The Little Nell, Sundeck and Aspen Mountain Club to include recruitment, employee relations, training, benefits administration, work comp, payroll, unemployment, employee recognition and legal compliance with all employment law.

Essential Job Functions
Represent the hotel as an executive manager, projecting a professional image while maintaining the highest standards of conduct and confidentiality
Weekly communication with Director of Human Resources on property wide initiatives, employee concerns and future planning
Manage all employee relations concerns and counsel managers and employees to achieve desired outcome
Assist in building the annual budget for the HR department needs. Code invoices monthly and stay within budgeted expenses
Ensure compliance with Government agencies and State/Federal employment regulations through proper administration for EEOC, INS, ADA, OSHA, COBRA, Workers Compensation, unemployment, and maintain accurate records thereof
Administer and oversee projects such as, annual wage survey, annual audit of 19's, turnover reports, annual insurance open enrollment, annual audit of employee files
Plan and execute annual employee survey and follow up meetings. Advise General Manager and Department Managers on results and necessary adjustments to drive satisfaction
Represent the employer at unemployment and all legal hearings
Oversee Visa programs to include, J1, H2B and TN. Determine eligibility and ensure compliance
Drive recruitment strategy to include online presence and domestic and international in person events with a focus on innovation and new markets
Execute onboarding process for new hires with a focus on efficiency for both employees and managers
Conduct in-house training, including new hire orientation, manager’s orientation, legal issues, sexual harassment, coaching and counseling
Maintain accurate and current employee records and files, to include documentation of employment eligibility, job descriptions, wages, leaves of absence, disciplinary actions, terminations
Drive adherence to standards and company policies and initiatives
Oversee employee evaluations program
Execute employee events to include Employee/Manager of the month, employee appreciation lunches and end of season parties
Oversee the administration of housing for employees through the ASC Housing Manager

The budgeted salary range for this position starts at $90,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in relative field
Computer, word processing (Excel and Word), and telephone skills required.
Good communication skills required
Fluency in Spanish preferred
8 years of progressive Human Resources experience
Diplomatic, calm and caring demeanor
Knowledge of Kronos preferred

Supervision Given and Received
Given: Exercises general supervision over the The Little Nell Human Resources Department. Assigns a variety of routine tasks, sets general expectations of results expected within company’s policies and procedures. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Received: Works under general supervision of the Director of Human Resources Hotel Operations. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor’s directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins.

Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
No adverse or hazardous conditions
Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
