The Retail Sales Associate plays a key role in creating a fun, welcoming, and memorable shopping experience by offering knowledgeable, personalized guidance on winter gear, apparel, and accessories. This role goes beyond transactions by focusing on meaningful guest interactions and building lasting relationships through exceptional service. By anticipating guest needs and delivering attentive, one-on-one support, the Retail Sales Associate helps turn first-time visitors into loyal Aspen Snowmass guests. This position reports to the Store Manager. Applications for this position will be accepted until November 1st, 2025. Essential Job FunctionsWelcome each guest with a friendly, attentive approach that reflects a high standard of service and encourages engagement Listen actively to understand guest needs and recommend products and solutions that enhance their experience and increase sales Demonstrate product features, benefits, and usage to help guests make informed purchasing decisions Maintain expert-level knowledge of winter gear, apparel, and accessories to confidently answer questions and drive sales Operate the point-of-sale system accurately to process purchases, apply discounts, and manage returns or exchanges efficiently Accurately count, balance, and reconcile tills to ensure financial integrity at the start and end of each shift Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor, using merchandising techniques that maximize product visibility and sales potential Support back-of-house operations such as organizing stockrooms, replenishing displays, and assisting with product receiving to keep inventory flow smooth Monitor for security concerns, help deter theft, and promptly report inventory or cash discrepancies to management Collaborate with teammates to achieve sales goals while providing a seamless and service-first retail environment Other duties as assigned
