We value the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty and staff of diverse backgrounds.The Division of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado, has an opening for a full-time faculty at the rank of Instructor for a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. We are looking for a faculty member to provide care exclusively at Children’s Hospital Colorado, in our ambulatory setting, seeing patients age newborn – young adult, providing clinical services in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. These services are not limited to, but include routine care, counseling and management of heavy and irregular menstrual bleeding, dysmenorrhea, sexually transmitted disease screening, and contraceptive care, with expectations that the faculty member is trained in the placement of long-acting reversible contraceptives (both IUDs and implants). Additional mentoring will be provided to the hired faculty member to provide routine pediatric gynecologic care. The faculty member will also be expected to participate in daytime consultation services for the emergency department and inpatient services as a member of the Group. Position includes primarily clinical duties, but may come with some responsibilities for teaching residents.Infectious Materials/Human Blood or Bodily FluidsHIPAA - TreatmentSalary and Benefits:Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.
