Detailed Job Description:

Matador is seeking a bookkeeper with extensive experience in Quickbooks Online, who can also act as an assistant to the CEO.

Matador is a small to medium sized company and the bookkeeping tasks to not occupy a 40 hour week. As such, we are seeking a qualified bookkeeper who can also act as an administrative assistant to the CEO.

The bookkeeping portion of the job includes traditional tasks such as receiving and recording payments, tracking and categorizing expenses, running payroll, submitting tax payments, managing sales taxes, running financial reports for management, etc. Applicants should have significant experience and a strong proficiency using Quickbooks Online.

The administrative assistant portion of the job entails taking notes at meetings, running errands, helping the CEO stay organized, cataloging samples, sorting/prioritizing emails, compiling data upon request, completing the weekly company scorecard based on various employee/business metrics, maintaining stock of snacks/drinks for employees, occasional event planning, travel planning/booking, and generally assisting in any way possible to free up time for the CEO or other managers from time to time.

Applicant Requirements:

Applicants should have 3+ years work experience in a relevant position; more experience is preferred. As associates degree (or more) or certification from a credible institution is highly preferred, although not required given proper prior work experience.

Applicants must have extensive experience with Quickbooks Online, Excel, Word, Outlook, and general proficiency on a Windows computer.
