What You Will Do:
As a member of UI you will never be bored. The pace is fast, the work is varied and youâll be encouraged to grow in unexpected ways. In the Tour Coordinator position, you will be responsible for reviewing show contracts and financials, coordinating the bandâs travel logistics and overseeing the tour crew. You will work closely with the staff at UI, the artists and their tour managers, booking agents and business managers to ensure all aspects of the tour are smooth and successful. Specifically, you will:
⢠Act as a point of contact between UI, the booking agency, promoter and tour crew once a concert is confirmed
⢠Review and mark-up all show contracts
⢠Oversee all tour financials such as tour budgets, expense reconciliations, per diems and daily show settlement reviews
⢠Coordinate all travel logistics (flights, drives, hotels, customs, etcâ¦) for the band and crew at the start and end of each tour
⢠Manage tour crew â from hiring and managing them to approving their schedules and invoices
⢠Maintain internal databases with accurate details for each engagement and notify the band and team of any changes
⢠Admin: maintain the bandâs gear & liability insurance policies, create stage plot & gear list, document the band vehicle maintenance, register set lists with BMI & ASCAP for live royalties, draft contracts for gratis or smaller music licenses, and more
Who You Are:
You are a detail freak who is personable, highly communicative, self-motivated, organized and dependable. You take ownership of your work, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with a lot of responsibility. You are a multi-tasking ninja who is able to think big picture logistically, and respond quickly, calmly and efficiently to day-to-day problems involving travel changes, contract negotiations and unexpected tour emergencies. You are excited to join a great team of people that support one another and love what they do.
Requirements:
⢠At least two years of music industry experience, with tour experience a major plus
⢠Adept at drafting and editing contracts, especially concert contracts
⢠Strong with accounting and calculating show settlements
⢠Experience coordinating travel/tour logistics and a strong knowledge of US geography
⢠Proficient in Excel and Google Suites
