The Happy Beast is a natural pet food and supply store in Lafayette CO.
We specialize in real, whole foods based nutrition for cats and dogs and are committed to providing our customers with exceptional service and educational experience. We also have a strong commitment to our environment and it is a core mission of ours to reduce our waste and encourage others to do the same.
Must be able to work holidays and at least 1 weekend day. 25-30 hrs/week, shifts are generally 9:40-5:40p or 11:30-7:30p. Pay is $15-$20/hr and based on experience.
Responsibilities
● Assist customers with health and wellness questions regarding their animals dietary needs
● Demonstrate detailed knowledge of products. Must grasp product knowledge in a relatively short period of time
● Restock shelves as needed
● Educate customers about current promotions and advertisements
● Ring up customers at the cash register, take payments, and issue receipts
● Clean dog wash and general up keep of the store
● Contribute to team's daily sales goals
Qualifications
● General knowledge of animal health, wellness, and behavior
● Dedication to the environment, recycling, and composting
● Commitment to a healthy lifestyle and nutrition
● 1-2 years of sales experience or customer service experience
● Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
● Excellent verbal communication skills
● Strong orientation towards providing excellent customer service
● High attention to detail
● Demonstrated selling skills
