Job Description

The Director of Product Management, North America, will run deep dives into our market verticals (Infrastructure & Construction, Manufacturing & Engineering, Agriculture, Health & Nutrition) to identify customer needs and solve their problems with outstanding products and innovative solutions that support Informa Markets.Work closely with internal stakeholders from marketing, sales, product, data analytics and other departments as well as with our commercial and vendor partners to deliver digital products to bring suppliers, buyers, and service providers together to do business.

  • Manage our B2B media content product strategy across multiple industry verticals, ranging from Health & Nutrition to Concrete to Medical Manufacturing to Agriculture and many more

  • Track best practices and innovations in the SEO space, and apply them to strategy and product plans

  • Build and manage a high-performing, collaborative team of Product Managers and Senior Product Managers responsible for marketplaces, communities, data subscriptions and growth/experimentation

  • Assess our internal data, industry data, customer needs and market opportunities to develop new and adapt existing solutions and value propositions to solve user needs

  • Combine digital and live face-to-face platforms to provide unique content and experiences for our buyers and sellers to interact, connect, discover and learn

  • Become an authority on Growth organization, helping you and the team identify customer needs and business opportunities through a combination of user research, internal feedback, data analysis, and competitor research

  • Innovate and experiment in a blank slate environment, to drive the development of new scalable product opportunities which will drive digital revenue and maximize profitability for the business

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams on go-to-market strategies, competitive product positioning and monetization strategies for product bundles & subscription-based pricing

  • Communicate clearly and crisply with executive and management stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple teams and organizations through formal operational processes and informal communication

  • Collaborate with the SVP of Product Management, North America to create vertical-specific product roadmaps and a unified product roadmap for North America

  • Select software vendors and platforms to pilot new products and initiatives, and collaborate with those vendors to define, build and deliver digital solutions

  • Create performance metrics for user engagement and product performance to show the value to our buyers, sellers and internal stakeholders, and drive teams to achieve them

  • Use performance metrics and user feedback to guide continuous improvement for digital products and services

  • Balance customer needs with resource constraints and roadmap timelines

Qualifications

  • Entrepreneurial, innovative and customer-centric mindset
  • Experience in media and/or educational product management, with a focus on innovative content experiences and SEO
  • 5-8 years in Product Management, with progressively senior roles and strong experience with partner/vendor implementation models
  • 2-3 years experience managing and mentoring product managers
  • An outstanding ability to analyze problems and apply quantitative analytical approaches
  • Experience using with A/B testing, piloting and prototyping methods, and driving decisions using qualitative and quantitative data
  • Adaptable, agile and speedy, with a willingness to take calculated risks, mitigate those risks, and learn from the outcome
  • High EQ and social awareness when working both internally and externally
  • Ability to translate and communicate data into concise, insightful, and actionable recommendations
