POSITIONSUMMARY:
The Lead Dining Room Server serves our residents in a formal restaurant setting using established rules of etiquette. The Lead Dining Room Server is also responsible for training the new servers, learning the service styles of all three of our dining rooms, closing the dining room after service, managing a staff of servers in several locations. Successful candidates will work in a non-tipping environment, perfect for those seeking steady hours and income. Ideal candidates will be passionate about providing superior customer service, will excel at building relationships, and have a professional and outgoing personality. Your ability to work weekends and holidays is essential in this role.
Schedule:Full time - 6:30am - 2:30pm

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interacts with residents, families, staff, and other visitors to the community in a pleasant, respectful, and courteous manner
- Set up dining room, which includes a full place setting at every seat, extra cups, saucers, soup bowls andplates, glasses and napkins in their appropriate locations
- Serve residents their requested meal and beverage items
- Inform residents of the daily menu choices
- Assist residents as needed, may include cutting food and operating condiments
- Responsible for making fresh coffee on an as needed basis
- Clear tables and reset place settings as soon as the resident leaves their seat
- Dishes are to be cleaned of food debris and placed in the appropriate bus tubs
- Clean and sanitize tables between each seating
- Clean ice cream area, wait-staff line, soup area and the coffee, juice and milk stations
- Mop wait-staff area of the kitchen at the close of each PM shift
- Acts as a positive representative of the communityat all times
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Demonstrated experience working in a customer focused role
- Demonstrated experience working in the hospitality or restaurant industry required.
- Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their familymembers
- Ability to communicate openly, honestly and responsibly with others
- Ability to maintain a customer focus treating all customers with respect and integrity
- Ability to accept responsibility for agreements made and follow through as appropriate
- Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
- Effective verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to lead by example
- Give direction and coach servers on Balfour dining etiquette
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
- Ability to push/pull objects and lift/carry up to 20 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis (occasionally up to 50 pounds, unassisted)
- Willing to work beyond normal working hours, on weekendsas well as holidays, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary
