Discover what you can do at IBM.The Security Tools Engineer will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and administration of security tools for a U.S. Federal client managed by IBM. The tools engineer will configure, deploy, and manage security tools in compliance with Federal requirements while also ensuring continued compliance for all devices. This role will also work with the security operations center team to ensure security devices/tools are configured properly to monitor, tracked, and analyze networks/systems for potential security violations while also assisting in all such potential incidents. The selected candidate will also provide information security subject matter expertise throughout the tasking and translate security requirements into technical designs/solutions.IBM is hiring these positions to be located at our Boulder,CO office. United States Citizenship, relocation to the Boulder area and the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance are required.The Public Service Sector consulting practice is a trusted advisor to federal, state and local governments, partnering to meet challenges and responding quickly to citizen demands, business needs, new economic conditions, and changing legislative priorities and policies.Required Professional and Technical Expertise

Network Troubleshooting Experience 3-5 Years

Server Architecture and System Engineering Experience 3-5 Years

Security Information Event Management (SIEM) Tool administration and reporting – 3-5 Years Experience

Endpoint Protection administration and reporting – 3-5 Years Experience

Vulnerability Assessment Tool management and reporting – 3-5 Years Experience

Cisco ACS - 1-2 Years Experience

VPN administration - 1-2 years experience

Experience setting up 2 Factor Authentication

Security Certification such as Security+ (Required), CISSP (Required)

CEH, CySA+, OSCP, and other security Certificates preferred

Strong systems, networking, process and people and leadership skills

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise

SecureAuth administration - 1-2 Years

QRadar administration/monitoring – 1-2 Years

Trend Micro – 1-2 Years

ACAS Security Center Vulnerability Scan Tools – 1-2 Years
