Avanti Food & Beverage, a collective eatery is hiring full and part time cocktail serving staff for our new Boulder location! Our ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a large section of guests of up to 50 people, patio and lounge areas throughout the shift, maintains a clean and professional demeanor, knows our beverage menu front to back, has a high level of salesmanship, an intimate understanding of beer, cocktails, and wine, is a team player & can handle high volume for extended periods of time. We are looking for someone with humility and drive that has the stamina to run full shifts with limited down time.
Job responsibilities include:
Having and intimate knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and beverage/food pairing
Maintains cleanliness in a large section.
Ability to handle cocktail style service in a section of 50+ people
Maintains cleanliness and organization of service and bus station(s). Refills water at both tables and service stations.
Experience working large scale events.
Communicates and assists hosts to set up and break down tables as customer requests are received.
Removes dirty dishes, silverware and any debris from tables throughout guests time here and after customer leaves table. Returns dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware carefully to dishwashing and/or bar area.
Leaves restaurant/bar in a clean condition prior to end of shift.
Assists customers with inquiries or as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
Experience and Education:
Previous high-volume bar and restaurant experience required.
In depth knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.
A positive attitude and ability to focus and stay on task.
Must have a High School diploma or GED.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Required to have TIPS Certification and Bar Starts within 30 days of hire.
Must be flexible on scheduling availability for both day and night shifts.
Required Skill Set:
Guest Experience: Must possess excellent customer service skills. Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism when interacting with guests and dealing with guest complaints. Ability to monitor and anticipate guests’ needs and respond accordingly in an effort to maintain a positive and enjoyable experience. Must be able to be on feet for extended periods of time, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Outgoing personality and friendly disposition highly desirable.
Physical Demands: Must be able to perform a variety of physical activities including, but not limited to, standing for long periods of time, climbing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping and lifting up to 55 lbs. Ability to carry and lift cookware (pots, pans, etc) containing hot or cool foods and liquids. Ability to use sharp knives and cooking utensils. Must be able to use cleaning compounds and cleaning products. Must be able carry large bins filled with dishes, silverware and other eating utensils. Ability to work with a variety of restaurant lounge and/or bar equipment and tools.
Shift Flexibility: Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends. Must be able to work overtime as required. All new hires are required to have availability Memorial Day Weekend, Fourth of July, Labor Day Weekend, & New Years Eve.
