As a Dishwasher at the Gaia Cafe, you'll ensure the back and front of house is fully stocked with clean utensils to create a seamless dining experience. You will join a team that supports and builds genuine relationships with each other through respect, encouragement, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining stock areas in a neat and orderly fashion on a daily basis
- Operating the dish-washing machine
- Cleaning and washing food-service carts, dishes, utensils, trays, pots, pans, etc.
- Using proper sanitation in all food and service areas
- Maintaining cleanliness in all work areas, equipment, and appliances
- Delivering food requests to stations as needed
- Keeping all kitchen work areas, dining rooms and break rooms clear of dirty dishes
- Sweeping and mopping floors and work areas
- Clean service and seating areas
- Setting up and breaking down salad bar and hot food stations
- Assisting barista during high volume customer times
- Dependable
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, oral and written
- Friendly and a team player!
- One year of food service or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Provide cashier service as needed
- Ability to organize tasks, work independently and be reliable
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- Adhere to weekly/monthly cleaning schedules as posted by manager
Work Environment:
- Dishwashing station
- Occasionally requires the ability to work in the kitchen area and possible interaction with hot food items, heated equipment, steam, loud noises and other at-risk conditions
- Involves repetitive motion
Pre-employment background/credit check required.
Hours: Monday - Friday 7am to 3pm
