We are a locally owned restaurant in the Vibrant University Hill District called “The Corner” that serves fresh food, great coffee drinks, and premium alcoholic beverages. We are missing a few great people up front who love to interact with people.
FULL TIME SHIFT MANAGER- ( $18 TO $19 Hr.) – Most days you will be up front managing the floor, running the registers, handing out food, or making coffees and cocktails. Some days you’ll be in the kitchen grilling steaks, making salads, or putting sandwiches together. It keeps things more interesting when you know all aspects of the restaurant. Some cooking experience is helpful but not required. When you are working you will be 100% in charge of the restaurant over seeing both the front and back of house employees.
We are looking for a Manager that understands we are in the Service industry and will provide the kind of customer service that makes every customer want to return.
YOU MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD TO MANAGE THE ALCOHOL ON YOUR SHIFT TO APPLY FOR THIS JOB.
Manager Duties include:
- Management- Training and managing all front end employees during your shift. Assisting the kitchen in running smoothly and closing down properly each night.
- Manager in charge of the alcohol- we have our liquor license and you will need to get trained and certified(TIPS) to serve alcohol. YOU MUST BE 21 YRS OLD.
- Nuts and Bolts- taking customers orders, handing out quality food and drinks, keeping the lobby clean, following checklists and procedures, controlling the money, and most importantly making every customer happy.
- Being a Leader and role model for the employees. completing daily checklists, Engaging in your work, making things right, and discussing improvement ideas with me (Peter) the owner.
- Cross training in the Kitchen- We expect that you are open to learning how to cook in the kitchen as well. Kitchen experience is a plus.
We are looking for people:
1. With At Least 1 year of restaurant Manager experience.
2. With a great attitude and work ethic.
3. Who want to work 35 to 40 hours a week and have open availability 7 days a week.
