Sushi Zanmai, located just one block north of The Pearl St. Mall is hiring Sushi Chefs. We are a fast paced, high volume sushi restaurant that has been in business since 1985. As Sushi Chef you will be responsible for making sushi and other dishes while delivering an exceptional guest experience to all.
Job Responsibilities:
Creating exceptional and high quality sushi including the rice and rolling sushi
Temperature recording and managing inventory, delivery and storage
Ensure all food standards. guidelines and safety are met and followed
Ability to deliver excellent customer service
Ability to work with other departments for special events and catering functions
Maintain daily records & reports
Maintain cleanliness prep area and sushi station
Perform training of new team members as required
And other duties as assigned by management and ownership
Qualifications:
Ability to communicate in English (Knowing Japanese is a plus)
Able to multi-task and work in fast faced environment
At least 2 years working with Sushi
Team player
Flexible working schedule including weekends and nights
Ability to stand for extended period of time
