Our private practice is seeking out a reliable optometric assistant who will provide a superior level of customer service to our wonderful patients. You'd be working Monday - Friday, for a total of about 30 hrs/week (with a very likely increase in hours in few months). Experience in an optometric office is preferred, though not required, since all duties can be trained. Duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, looking up insurance benefits and explaining them to patients, filing charts, dispensing eyeglasses, doing minor adjustments on eyeglasses, training patients how to put in contact lenses, and light daily office cleaning. The perfect candidate for this position would be someone who is reliable, great with computers, cheerful, eager to help others, a fast learner, pays close attention to detail, and is great at multitasking. We prefer someone who is willing to jump in and help wherever they are needed, acting as a "right-hand" for our main office optician. If you are interested, please attach a cover letter and resume.
