The Sr. HR Generalist, a key member of BHPâs Human Resources Team, supports the Executive Director, Director of HR & Organizational Excellence, the Leadership Team, and the organizationâs employees by performing HR and related duties. Working under management guidance from the Director of HR & Organizational Excellence, the Sr. HRG administers compensation and benefits programs, Workers Comp, ADA, FMLA, STD, LTD, and unemployment claims; ensures compliance with labor laws and regulations; performs on-boarding and off-boarding tasks; coordinates the performance review process; supports BHPâs talent acquisition and training programs; and performs other duties as assigned.
REPORTS TO:ÂÂÂ Director of HR & Organizational Excellence
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Policies, Procedures, Employment Law Compliance & Recordkeeping:
Ensures that all personnel files are kept current and maintained in compliance with state and federal laws, including I-9 forms; on-boarding and benefits paperwork; performance records; FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, Workerâs Compensation, and Unemployment Insurance claims; and termination documents
Coordinates documentation for FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, Workerâs Compensation, and Unemployment Insurance claims
Maintains the Employee Handbook, Policies and Procedures Manuals, Organizational Chart, and employment posters in the office and off-site as needed
Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
Payroll, Compensation, Benefits & Reporting:
Works with Finance department to input and ensure the accuracy of information in the payroll system
Administers compensation and benefits programs; serve as BHP benefits program expert
Assists in the research and compilation of compensation and salary survey data
Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
Generates personnel reports as needed (e.g., attendance, salary, EEO-1 reporting, etc.)
Talent Management & Employee Relations:
Manages the recruiting process, including personnel requisitions, job descriptions, job postings, scheduling interviews, compiling interview evaluations, and closing out candidates not selected to move forward in the process
Coordinates on-boarding, including background checks, payroll/HRIS entry, scheduling and delivery of new hire orientation, and benefits enrollment
Oversees and maintains the applicant tracking system (ATS) and on-boarding system
Coordinates performance review process; coordinates training, prepares and forwards appraisal forms to employees and managers, tracks and follows up to ensure return of completed forms, compiles final reviews, and tracks completion of review meetings
Recommends and coordinates employee training activities
Support Executive Director and Leadership Team:
Researches information for special reports, new concepts and ideas
Works independently on assigned special projects
Performs related duties as required by management to meet the needs of BHP

Additional Responsibilities:
Ensures confidentiality as it applies to all personnel related matters
Provides excellent customer service; communicates courteously and responsively; provides efficient and effective service to the public and co-workers
Coordinates logistics for trainings, special events, and meetings
Coordinates production of BHPâs bi-weekly newsletter
Attends webinars, seminars, trainings, and conferences to maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, and HR best practices
Performs other duties as assigned
