Golden West, a non-profit senior housing community, has openings for part-time and substitute caregivers in our assisted living community, The Mezzanine. The Mezzanine is home to 56 individuals with an average age of 85. The caregivers administer medications, help with meals, provide shower and laundry assistance, provide reminders of appointments and activities and other assistance with daily living activities. The caregivers are also the first responders to resident emergencies. Caregivers provide basic first aid and call 911 for more serious situations.
The ideal candidate will have unlimited patience, the ability to multitask and attend to the needs of several people at once and truly enjoy working with elders. Preference will be given to candidates that are QMAPs and have experience in an assisted living setting, but we are willing to provide paid training for individuals with the right attitude and interpersonal skills.
Open shifts
Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6:45 am - 3:30 pm
Shift differential of .75 per hour is paid for all Saturday and Sunday day and evening shifts.
