The 63rd St. Farm located minutes from downtown Boulder is looking for some Fun, Athletic, Farm Driven folks to work here this summer!
- Farm Hand (for crop production) -1 Position. We would like you to have at least 1 season of working on a vegetable farm. You will be planting, seeding, harvesting, weeding, weeding, weeding, =), laying landscape fabric, running irrigation lines out, working our CSA pick ups on Thursdays at the farm, learning to cook pizza in a woodfired oven. You will receive onsite living, veggies from the farm, education on what we do and how we do it, and a stipend. You may NOT have any pets live onsite with you or smoke Cigarettes or Vape, you must be physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds regularly. This is about 40-50 hours per week with your work week being Monday - Friday. CSA days are the longest day but super fun The position starts May 1st full time but you could move in April 1st to work part time that month and full time in May thru August/October.
- Intern Postions - 2 Postions. Interns can come with zero farming experience. This is the whole point of interning here is to learn about diversified farming. You must commit to 4 months solid of working, May thru August. We have built this for students so you can come once you are finished with school and head out once school begins again. Some of the things you will learn about are on the vegetable side: planting, seeding, weeding, harvesting, CSA, irrigation, and more. On the animals side you will learn basics of animal husbandry, rotational grazing, harvesting chickens and more. You will receive farming education (which can be very expensive at colleges and get no hands on real farming experience), onsite living either in a house or off grid style, a small stipend, and veggies from the farm. You may NOT bring any pets here or smoke Cigarettes or Vape. The hours are about 40-50 per week, Monday thru Friday unless you are working animals then it will be Thursday thru Monday.
