Ecoscape is seeking a Skilled Landscape Installation Foreman to join an amazing and diverse team of folks dedicated to producing landscapes that are good for people, good for business, and good for the planet.

As a member of the Landscape Installation crew, the Skilled Landscape Installation Technician is responsible for performing landscape construction duties on installation projects throughout Boulder County in a safe and efficient manner while providing quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

This full time hourly position reports to the Landscape Manager and works in a highly collaborative environment with oversight from the Landscape Installation Foreman.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working in an innovative company that offers a range of services in a small business environment means key tasks can vary a great deal during the span of daily operations.

Primary responsibilities and tasks of this position include but are not limited to:

Assist in the preparation of job sites prior to project start

Perform functions such as grading, drainage installation, leveling, compaction, edging/mulching, shrub trimming, hardscaping, plant installation/irrigation, basic irrigation installation (basic repairs, lateral lines and sprinkler heads, drip lines) and other general landscape construction duties

Operate various landscape tools, equipment, and heavy equipment such as skid steers, mini-skid steers, mini-excavators, auger trencher and tiller attachments, chainsaws, jackhammers, laser/zip levels and other measurement equipment, wheelbarrows, shovels, hammers, drills, saws and other basic power tools, and other tools they pertain to project requirements and objectives

Understand and meet production and project schedule deadlines while maintaining excellent customer service and quality workmanship

Promote and maintain a clean and safe job site (includes waste disposal and recycling onsite and at the office/shop)

Maintain and care for company equipment, tools, and vehicles

Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning tools and air filters on a regular basis

Assist in keeping an orderly, stocked, and locked equipment trailer

Log accurate daily logs of hours worked and submit times heet in a timely manner

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

ROLE SPECIFIC:

1 year minimum experience in residential and/or commercial landscape construction/installation experience required

Knowledge and experience in installing a variety of hardscape applications

Familiarity with planting/care instructions for various perennials, shrubs, evergreens, and trees

Ability to drive a truck with trailer safely and comfortably

Ability to follow construction documents and drawings

Proficient and personable when engaging with clients, vendors, and staff

Proficiency with technology such as email, Google apps, and landscape software programs (LMN)

Possesses a high level of integrity and a solid work ethic

Punctual and dependable with a can-do attitude

Works well in a collaborative environment and regularly contributes to team efforts

Able to work effectively with individuals of differing backgrounds, knowledge and skill levels

Able to self-organize, plan ahead, and juggle multiple tasks

Highly motivated, self-driven, and detailed oriented

SPECIAL DEMANDS:

Perform highly physical installation work on a consistent basis

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature

Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel to and from the office and specific project sites when needed

May be subject to loud noises from the operation of machinery

Position may sometimes require working outdoors in inclement weather around heavy machinery

COMPENSATION: $17-$22/hr DOE/skill level
