Position Title: Public Relations Intern

Hours Per Week: 20 - 40 hours per week

Location: working remotely

This is a part-time, unpaid internship position, with the potential to evolve into a part-time paid independent contractor position. Office hours are flexible and remote.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

Create pitch decks for all media outlets including news, radio, podcasts at the local, regional and national levels.

Pitch reporters and media contacts on the IPI brand and our message

Secure media coverage and media opportunities for the co-founders to spread the company message

Schedule and liaison with all media outlets on behalf on the company

Develop a PR strategy from the ground up and implement at a high-growth start up environment

About You:

Undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism, or other relevant field of study

Experience in a PR or communications role is a plus

Tech savvy. Experienced and a high level of aptitude for learning and navigating multiple software programs and apps we use for day-to-day office administration, public relations, etc.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel and Google Drive

Warm, professional, and polished verbal and written communication skills.

Understanding of our brand, and what media outlets are relevant for mental health professionals

Interest in helping to expand the company and its mission.

Open to personal and professional growth and development.
