High Precision Devices, Inc. (HPD) is a successful and growing 25 year old Boulder business specializing in precision instrument R&D and manufacturing. HPD builds devices that integrate ultra-low temperature cryogenics with precision mechanics, vacuum, optics, and electronics.
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Mechanical Technician with a background in these areas and a minimum of five years of work experience.
Responsibilities Include:
Assemble mechanical units where extreme care, skilled workmanship, and accuracy are required to meet strict inspection, testing and operating specifications.
Besides specific technical skills, it is essential that the candidate be quality oriented with excellent attention to detail and workmanship.
Must have experience with a range of mechanical devices, tools, materials, and assembly techniques.
Must have experience with a range of cleaning methods.
It is important that the candidate is very productive and manages his/her time effectively with good organization and prioritization of tasks.
Should be flexible and be able to adapt to working on several different products as needed.
Must follow detailed procedures according to established specifications and instructions and perform quality checks at all levels of production.
Analytical capability along with Adaptability/Flexibility.
Document and maintain manufacturing procedures for specified devices as required.
Ability to follow current production procedures
Maintain work station, equipment, tools and materials
