We have an opening at our Pearl St. Kiosk and we're looking to hire our next great employee for the 2019 season (starting now through Oct/Nov).Trek Light Gear has been featured in the New York Times, Entrepreneur, Gizmodo and more - this is your chance to work for a fun, small-and-growing outdoor lifestyle brand and be part of the vibrant downtown Boulder scene.
The open position is part-time 25hrs/wk (3 scheduled days each week).Our past employees have called this one of the best outdoor jobs they've ever had in Boulder and this is your chance to find out why.You'll be personally responsible for the opening, closing and daily operation of the kiosk - which means you must be a motivated, self-starter, entirely capable of working on your own - with all the help & support you need of course.
Past sales experience is desired but not essential. The one quality you must have is passion. Our products are geared towards passionate people - people who love the outdoors, love adventure or simply love to relax and spread happiness. If you also have that passion and can enthusiastically share it with others you've got what it takes to be part of the Trek Light team.
Details:
A typical day's hours are from 11a-7pm.
Competitive pay is hourly plus commission on sales.
The cart is moved on and off the mall (2 blocks) each day so it requires physical effort to push the cart and open/close each day. You must be capable of safely moving it back and forth with every shift and willing to break a sweat in the summer heat!
The job is seasonal and lasts as long as the great Boulder weather does (typically steady hours through October). A sincere commitment and ability to be with us for the full season is crucial. Additional work in the off-season or the ability to transition into an opening on our team may be available after the kiosk season ends.
