Farfel's Farm and Rescue is seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who enjoys retail and wants to work independently 2 - 3 days/week. This person must LOVE pets and the people who hold the leash.
Our search is twofold. One is for an individual who is passionate about rescuing urgent-need dogs. They must be very comfortable communicating with out-of-state shelters and rescuers, contacting local fosters and potential adopters and being a general advocate for the welfare and placement of our rescue dogs.
Of equal importance is to have the enthusiastic personality and love of retail that represents the positive energy of Farfel's. We have been a vital part of downtown Boulder for 15 years and value our customers and vendors as if they were family.
The employee we're seeking will be the face of our store and rescue. They will enjoy getting to know Boulder's dog-loving community, be curious about new products and enjoy the research necessary to develop familiarity with ordering as well as guiding customers in their product choices.
Paperwork and record-keeping is also a vital part for both our store operation and keeping our rescue program in compliance with our Colorado Department of Agriculture license. Therefore this employee must be extremely organized with the ability to multitask.
