We are a Boulder based outdoor gear company that is looking for a Picking/Stocking Supervisor
This position will oversee the day to day inner functions of the picking and stocking areas of the warehouse, including warehouse organization, inventory control, employee relations, training, and the ability to create and improve processes. This person needs to have excellent attention to detail, accurate counting and data entry. Our goal is to be the best distributor in our industry in terms of order efficiency and accuracy.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Lead the picking and stocking team with excellent communication and direction
Oversee daily cycle counting regiments and warehouse organization
Supervise all Quality Control projects to ensure maximum efficiency is occurring
Participate in daily warehouse agenda meetings, backfill when necessary
Participate in the hiring and discipline of warehouse staff, as well as conduct annual reviews.
Oversee the accurate receipt of all Purchase Orders and training of receiving team
Identify any errors in shipments and communicate with Warehouse Manager
Operate any material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jacks) following established safety guidelines
Train order picking/stocking teams and ensure processes are being followed
Work with the Packing Supervisor to ensure all orders are picked, packed, and shipped error free and within their respective timelines.
Oversee FIFO within all back-stocking locations.
Manage replenishment tasks to ensure they are completed daily
Assist with team development and cross training throughout warehouse staff
Oversee the constant consolidation of back stock
Assist with general warehouse duties such as receiving, picking, packing, and shipping orders.
Work with the Warehouse Manager to research all chargebacks and holding employees accountable.
Assist with regular cycle counting, and year end physical inventory
Manage end of day cleanup and all tasks are completed
Utilize Warehouse Management System for QC logging, and all other non-inventory projects
Perform other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
2+ years of warehouse, distribution or shipping experience, supervisory experience a plus
1 year of experience driving a forklift loading/unloading pallets on and off vertical racking systems and docks
Ability to perform tasks under pressure and within a deadline driven environment
Ability to accurately follow directions and to quickly learn new procedures
Must have positive attitude and be able to work well in a team while leading
Be reliable and have a solid work ethic, taking pride in that they do
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
High attention to detail and highly organized
Be self-motivated and reliable.
Must be able to
o Stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods.
o Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
o Work in hot and cold air temperatures.
This is a full-time position; our business hours 8:30AM-5:15PM Monday through Friday. Pay is commensurate with experience and is competitive. Benefits include health insurance, 401K and employee paid pension, vacation and holidays and a casual work environment.
