Massage Therapist - PT or FT (Estes Park)

Vacancy expired!

Homegrown Yoga and Massage is hiring one or two special LMTs who have a commitment to health and wellness and would enjoy working in a peaceful open aired mountain environment by themself in a peaceful, "busy as you like" environment.

Homegrown is located on 800 acres of land next to the Rocky Mountain National Park. The business operates out of the YMCA of the Rockies - a family reunion, conference and vacation center which can house 4,500 guests at one time. Clientele are friendly, hard working people on vacation or retreat. Details of business at www.homegrownyoga.com

You can be as busy as you like and will be working by yourself in a peaceful mountain cabin surrounded by trees, elk, deer, and birds. I usually have two therapists working at one time but due to COVID I want just one person and their client in the massage cabin at a time. I also want the therapist to feel as comfortable as they can during the pandemic while still working, contributing and receiving good pay.

Generous above industry standard commission and paid every two weeks.

No need to bring your table or oils - that is all supplied unless you enjoy some particular kind. This is a contract position.

You select the days you would like to work and the hours. Your hours must be regular week-to-week but you can set them. Weekends off are fine. Some flexibility with schedule with a 3 week notice. I need the notice due to advertising needs.

Start right away or by August 12th.

Must be licensed in Colorado and insured.

Must have a fantastic work ethic and be friendly, professional and at least 15 minutes early to work. If you have experience in yoga, meditation, commitment to God of your understanding, or any other spiritual or healing art, all the better, but not required.

Your choice to commit working just the remaining of the busy season through September or choose to stay part time or on call through the winter. This is an amazing opportunity. Peaceful beyond belief, good work, great environment, and good pay.

COVID particulars:

This is an open aired cabin with windows. Mountain breezes are typically running through.

Ample time between clients for cleaning protocols and rest.

All intakes done on an open aired porch.

Silence during massage is your choice and encouraged as to reduce aerosols. The virus is known to spread mainly via air droplets from talking, sneezing and coughing.

Air purifier next to massage table that filters to .1 (virus is .13)

Temperature and symptom checks done on open aired porch and documented before every treatment.

As a professional massage therapist, the way I have approached massage during COVID:

I only offer 30 and 60 min massages.

I keep client face down for 50 minutes and finish up with front of the legs for last ten minutes.

I do not work on upper traps, arms, or head/face with client supine. This maximizes distance between faces and aerosols. The client is made aware of this before confirming appointment.

Flexible cancellation policy in the event a client does not feel well or believes they may have been exposed.

All massages are done in silence to minimize aerosols.

Intakes and payments are done on the porch of the cabin respecting social distance, and because there are only two people ( you and the client), you are in control of spacing and social distancing.

I wear a medical mask, a cloth mask and interchange face shield or goggles.

The client must wear a snuggly fitted face mask covering nose and mouth and tight on sides the entire massage and I ask them when I come in if it is on.

I ask the client during the intake that if they have to sneeze, cough or blow their nose to let me know and I will leave the area. I will do the same.

I tell the client that if for any reason they are uncomfortable, we can move to side line position or stop the massage.

I speak to every client before they book and will only book the client if they answer the following questions well: 1) have they and the people they are with and live with been taking COVID seriously? 2) have they been wearing a mask in public at all times, and 3) have they been practicing social distancing religiously?

I also wear an apron and change it out between families or groups of individuals.

Please text, call or email and come on up to Estes Park for a demo massage.

You are also required to obtain a free covid test at the Larimer County Public Health Department (Fort Collins and Loveland locations), or the county you live in. There is a one week turn around time.

Namaste!
