Role:
We are seeking a highly creative and well-rounded Videographer/Editor to join our in-house creative team. The primary responsibility will be selecting and assembling video, graphics and audio materials to build a strong narrative for produced branded content, as well as internal video projects. Content will include stop motion, product videos, educational videos, inspirational and social content as well as recipe videos and product. photos. This person will report directly to our Chief Growth Officer and manage everything from concept through production and execution. Bring a deep understanding of the marketing and social media landscape—including relevant brands, industry trends, and visual best practices.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the creative process, assisting in conceptual discussions, layouts, scripts and storyboards
Edit video and digital content to high standards with understanding of pacing, audio mix, color grading and overall look and feel of the final piece
Collaborate with various marketing team members to organize and maintain copies and versioning of assets
Follow specific post-production grid delivery systems, social media guidelines and aspect ratio templates to meet video production standards
Ability to design and animate graphics, illustrations and typography
Perform editing of complex materials to ensure projects meet stated production goals, budget and timeline
Video camera operation (exposure, lighting, composition)
Basic understanding of “on location” lighting and sound
Assist with directing talent on location to complete assignments
Download captured media and organize for digital team
Travel to assigned location and work independently
If needed, be able to edit content for Evo Hemp’s influencers channels
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
2+ years of video shoot experience
Skills of video camera operation including exposure, lighting, composition and audio
Must have personal camera, sound and lighting equipment
Strong understanding of camera file format workflow
Excellent attention to detail and organization
Knowledge of Adobe suite, Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
Understanding of social media and creating short form videos
Good communicator that can work easily with digital and social media teams
Adaptable and quick to learn new processes and tools
Experience with sound editing and sound design
Graphics and animation experience
A track record of performance meeting targets and objectives
Self-directed, goal-oriented and flexible, enjoying working in a fast-paced and at times challenging environment
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
Ambitious self-starter with a can-do mentality and the ability to juggle several projects concurrently and can meet every deadline
Experience working on CPG brands is a plus; experience working in a startup environment also preferred
