We’re Light-Life Technology, a small, creative, and purpose-driven shop in Erie. We handcraft unique tools that support health and well-being, and we’re looking for a skilled metal-smith who enjoys meaningful, hands-on work.
If you love working with your hands, feel at home around copper, torches, and tools, and you take pride in creating pieces that genuinely make a difference for people, you might be a great fit here.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll be working on jewelry-scale and small sculptural metal pieces, using both micro torches and brazing torches. Your days will include a mix of fabrication tasks, batch production, and creative problem-solving as our orders shift.
What We’re Looking For:
At least 2 years of torch-based metal fabrication
Strong skills with oxy/acetylene/propane torches, including safe use and tank changes
Experience working with copper: soldering, bending, filing, cutting, sanding, and electroplating
Light forging, hammer texturing, and forming beads with dapping tools
Comfort using flex shaft tools for shaping and polishing
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and handle repetitive production tasks
Good with feedback, instructions, and staying focused
Solid knowledge of PPE and safe practices around soldering, plating, and pickle
Comfortable working in both a quiet or noisy shop environment
Strong work ethic — organized, punctual, reliable, and eager to learn
Reliable transportation
Able to switch gears as priorities shift and stay steady under pressure
Enjoy working solo or collaboratively with shared tools
Comfortable in a dog-friendly shop
And most importantly: you care about craftsmanship and creating tools that help people live healthier, happier lives
Why Work With Us?
We’re not just making products — we’re crafting tools that people rely on for wellness and energetic balance. If you’re looking for a job where your hands-on skills have purpose, and you like being part of a small, supportive, creative team, this could be your spot.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
