For 15 years, TwoCor has served over 1,600 vulnerable and disconnected youth who have experienced significant childhood maltreatment and trauma, providing them with healing and training for a productive life. By combining leading-edge neuroscience, Christian spirituality and values, and practical workforce readiness skills training and job placement, TwoCor has developed an effective and unique model to transform hurting lives into hopeful futures. The Development Specialist will build on past success through new strategic visioning, fundraising expertise, superb communication, and relationship-building acumen.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Visioning and planning

Work with the Executive Director and the Executive Team to develop a fundraising plan for growing donations from private individuals, foundations, corporations, churches, and civic organizations.

Develop an annual fundraising calendar with budget and timeline. The calendars will include appeals for major gifts, the annual giving campaign, foundation grant opportunities, special events, and open houses.

Develop outside resources to help with the fundraising effort including graphic design, photography, printing, and other services as necessary.

Relationship building and prospecting

Engage TwoCor staff and Board of Directors in soliciting potential donors, developing church, corporate, foundation, civic connections.

Build relationships with donors and agency champions/ambassadors through regular tours of TwoCors comprehensive trauma-responsive facilities, and networking with churches and professional organizations.

Engage, expand, and energize existing donor base of 2,000+ members through regular e-newsletters, email blasts, newsletters, and social media; maintain and update donor database.

Update website regularly with posts and professional-quality photos. Optimize the on-line donation experience, and track website analytics.

Create marketing materials for the annual campaign, special events, open houses, and other fundraising activities.

Write donor acknowledgement correspondence.

Explore and develop new referral and payor sources for services TwoCor provides, in conjunction with Executive Director

Grant writing

Investigate, initiate, and establish new private and corporate foundation relationships.

Help Executive Director maintain relationships with private and corporate foundation program officers and leaders.

Help Executive Director write grant proposals.

Collect required data and create final grant reports to foundations.

Reporting

Provide a monthly report to the Executive Director and Executive Team reflecting financial donations and expenses compared to budget.

Track return on investment for various fundraising activities.

Branding

Oversee external marketing communications “ including brochures, newsletters, e-newsletters and eblasts, social media posts”and ensure that they consistently represent the TwoCor brand.

Professional Qualifications

Minimum “ Bachelors degree

Minimum of 3-5 years verifiable fundraising experience

Experience with the Benevon fundraising model or other Certified Fund-Raising Executive credentials, a plus.
