TITLE: Day Porter I
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time
DEPARTMENT: Commercial Maintenance Department
REPORTS TO: Property Manager
Summary of Responsibilities:
Perform trash removal of sidewalks, plant areas, and parking lot: sidewalk sweeping, window frame cleaning, emptying trash and ashtray containers, possible snow shoveling and applying snow melt. Check roofs for trash and leaves, cone off parking spaces as needed for maintenance or painting. Cleaning of vacant units, or removing trash from inside a property. Other tasks may be assigned as necessary. May be required to work some weekends or after hours.
Qualifications:
Reliable and hardworking
Strong communication and customer service skills
1 year experience in janitorial or grounds keeping
Vehicle with proof of insurance
Able to climb ladders, to access roofs or other high places
Physical Demands: Heavy: up to 50lbs., anything over 50lbs requires two (2) people Climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, handle, talk, hear and see
Some knowledge of exterior maintenance including asphalt and lights
Administrative Duties:
Submit and prepare time sheets, daily logs and completed work orders as scheduled.
Familiarity with cell phone and/or iOS applications.
