A CNC machinist at Cogitic is much more than 'just a machinist.' You will be working on a team with experienced professionals who take pride in their work. As a CNC machinist, you'll be expected to bring manufacturing experience to the table and collaborate on processes, tooling and program strategy. You will also need trouble shooting and root cause analysis skills to work effectively with your colleagues.

Job Requirements
This position is different than 'ordinary' machinist position. We are specifically looking for someone to process turned parts on cycle controlled lathes (conversational programming). Some of these parts might be small enough o fit in your hand, but many can weight several hundred pounds and be many feet long.
The primary qualification required for this position is character. This person in this position will be working with very high value, difficult to produce work pieces and they must be willing and able to take ownership, be held accountable and accept responsibility. All within a schedule driven, fast paced, growing environment.
For this position, applicants must have the following technical qualifications:
5+ years of machining experience (10+ years desired)
Large part machining skills
Ability to setup and run manual support machines for secondary operations (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.)
Ability to inspect your own parts on the machine (thread roll systems, casting/impressions of small features, etc.)
Desired qualifications:
Experience with HRSA, such as Inconel, Titanium, Invar, etc.
Conversational lathe experience- Weiler, Dynapath, etc.
