Primary Purpose: To provide laboratory support in an effort to deliver quality data to our customers on time.
Main Responsibilities:
-ï§ To support chemistry staff with project related tasks.
-ï§ Preparation of reagents and mobile phases.
-ï§ Perform low complexity assays such as medicated feed extraction or UV absorption testing.
-ï§ Washing and disinfecting of laboratory glassware, equipment, and worktables.
-ï§ Homogenization and compositing of samples according to study protocol, SOP, and GLP guidelines.
-ï§ Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the laboratory and warehouses, including proper storage and labeling of chemicals and reagents and disposing of expired materials.
-ï§ Keep consumable supplies in the laboratory organized and stocked, and retrieve supplies for chemists.
-ï§ Ensuring accordance with SOP and regulatory guidelines in all activities.
-ï§ Performing basic lab testing, e.g. use of balances, pH meter, et-cetera.
-ï§ Retrieve and return sample runs to freezers.
-ï§ Performing all aspects of sample, standard, and QC disposition.
-ï§ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
⢠Associate or Bachelor degree in chemistry, biology, or specific technical field
⢠General knowledge of laboratory safety and procedures
⢠Attention to detail and effective organization.
⢠Good communication, human interaction, and dispute resolution skills.
⢠Ability to follow verbal and written directions with professionalism.
⢠Strong team interaction skills, a high level of independence and initiative.
⢠Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is helpful.
